Dear supporter If you are receiving this email, you have already interacted with Nestwell, a two-sided platform that streamlines the placement of ‘Just-A-Roof Women’ into local Airbnbs for an extended period of time. ‘Just-A-Roof Women’ is a term we use to represent the low need, older homeless women experiencing housing insecurity with no additional need for allied services or support (for example AVO protection). Nestwell tackles the needs of this often-invisible homeless stream by matching ‘Just-A-Roof Women’ with a local Airbnb host for a 3-month period. We, the project team, began our work on Nestwell when we partnered with Little Owl for our Industry Innovation Project at the University of Technology Sydney. We have since completed this subject, and are really excited to officially re-introduce ourselves as associates of Little Owl! We would like to recognise you as an important part of our network and continue to update you on the Nestwell project. We’d also like to take a moment to express our support to everyone affected by the current NSW lockdown. All our team members, and the areas we have been researching for this project, are based in Greater Sydney. We are all feeling the impacts of the current way of life.
